Carnival without Carnival sessions is like a Berliner without jam. With the new year the carnival sessions begin. They make up a large part of the carnival season and, like the carnival itself, they have a different motto every year. The motto is embodied each year by the organisation of a session medal, which is lent with the solemn award of the order to all active members in the Carneval organisation.
